Within Canada but Out of Province

Hospital charges from another province are covered up to the standard inter-provincial schedule.

Medical charges from another province are covered by the plan of the province in which they are treated (according to a federal-provincial agreement).

Out of Country Coverage

Hospital charges from outside Canada are covered up to a total of $75 per day (Canadian Funds) for an adult or child and $41 per day (Canadian Funds) for a newborn infant.

Medical charges from outside Canada are covered up to the amount payable had the same services been performed in BC.
