Coverage Exclusions
The following services are not covered by the provincial plan:

cosmetic surgery unless medically required
-
services covered by Worker's Compensation or other legislation
-
expenses for travelling time or mileage
-
advice by telephone
-
any service or examination specifically for:
-
an application for insurance (or continuance)
-
an application for a school, camp, association, club, group or program. (admission to or continuance at)
-
employment (application for or continuance of)
-
legal requirements or proceedings
-
court testimony, preparation of records, reports, certificates or communications
-
group examination, immunizations or inoculations
-
any physician service or examination for screening, survey or research purposes
-
laboratory services, or clinical pathology except those previously described
-
special appliances (artificial limbs, crutches, braces etc.)
-
acupuncture procedures
-
eyeglasses
-
private-duty nursing
-
hospital visits solely for administration of drugs
-
drugs taken home from hospital
-
specified physician services such as pre-adoption examinations and evaluation for Children's Aid Society, genetic counselling, HCG treatment for obesity, orthoptics, etc.
