Hospital Care

Inpatient Hospital

• ward accommodation and meals (room and board)
• nursing care
• diagnostic services (including x-rays and laboratory tests)
• prostheses and orthopaedic devices that can be implanted in the body
• drugs prescribed and administered during hospitalization
• use of operating, recovery and delivery rooms
• use of anaesthetic facilities
• anaesthetic and surgical supplies
• use of radiotherapy treatment facilities
• use of physiotherapy facilities
• services rendered by hospital staff

Outpatient Hospital

• electric shock treatment, insulin treatment and behaviour therapy
• emergency care
• minor surgery
• diagnostic services (including x-rays and laboratory tests)
• physiotherapy, ergotherapy and inhalation therapy
• hearing and speech therapy
• orthoptic treatment of visual defects
• radiotherapy (cobalt, radium, etc.)
• clinical psychiatric services
• services and examinations, required under a Quebec law (other than the Collective Agreement Decrees Act), to obtain or keep an employment
