Dental Care

Dental In Hospital

The plan covers oral surgery and dental services determined by regulation and performed by a dental surgeon in a hospital.

Dental Out of Hospital

Eligibility:

• children under age 10
• special aid recipients for at least 6 months, except for specific emergency services

Coverage:

For children under age 10:

• one diagnostic (examinations, consultations, x-rays)
• restorative (fillings, crowns)
• endodontics (treatment of tooth pulp, root canal treatment)
• surgical (tooth and root extractions, removal of cysts, reduction of fractures, etc.)

Dental services for social aid recipients:

• the same services as for children up to 10 years of age, including root canal treatment and topical applications of fluoride but including scaling

Dental prostheses for social aid recipients:

• 1 complete or partial upper denture and one complete or partial lower denture every 5 years
• repairs, relining and replacement of dentures, subject to certain conditions
